Zlatan Ibrahimovic Flattered by Chelsea’s Interest
by iqrashawan on Jul.12, 2009, under Football

Inter Milan’s Sweden international striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed Chelsea want to sign him.
Ibrahimovic, whose Inter coach Jose Mourinho used to be in charge at Stamford Bridge, has revealed that money will not be the main motivating factor in any move after being linked with a £60million switch to the Barclays Premier League.
Ibrahimovic said: “I am fully aware that Chelsea want to sign me and, of course, it is very flattering. They are one of the biggest teams in Europe and the Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world.
“Money is not the most important thing, I will base my decision on what’s good for me, what suits me.”
He told the News of the World: “Money is not the most important thing. I will base my decision on what’s good for me, what suits me.
“It is about asking: will I still be able to be special in the league that I am going to, to the team that I am going to?
“Are my qualities right for the Premier League or not?”
Tevez: Fans Will Forgive Me
by iqrashawan on Jul.05, 2009, under Football

Former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez is confident he will not be viewed as a traitor by the Old Trafford faithful if he completes a transfer to the club’s cross-city rivals.
The Argentina international turned down a permanent deal at United last month following a two-year loan deal and has since been linked with a lucrative move to wealthy Manchester City.
Chelsea are also reportedly tracking the 25-year-old’s availability, but Eastlands is believed to be Tevez’s likely destination this summer.
Tevez told The People: “If I play for Manchester City I don’t think the United fans will feel I am a traitor.
“They have to remember that at least as far as I know I have been thrown out of the club and I have to study the best offers available.”
Tevez’s decision to turn down the offer of a five-year deal at United has been defended by his adviser Kia Joorabchian, and the player himself insists manager Sir Alex Ferguson left him with little choice but to move on.
“It has come about because I could not stand my sporting situation at Manchester United any longer,” he continued.
“My first year was good in all senses. I played in the games and felt respected by the coach but in my second year some strange things happened that I still do not understand.
“After the game at Old Trafford where Liverpool beat us [4-1, in March], Ferguson ignored me almost as if I was to blame for the defeat when really Liverpool dominated us all over the pitch.
“After that the fans called for me to be in the team but he never took the advice on board because he always knows best.
“I gave everything for Manchester United and people know that. For that reason I don’t deserve the way things have ended up.”
Shocking News: Atletico Rule Out Aguero Sale
by iqrashawan on Jun.24, 2009, under Football

Atletico Madrid insist sought-after forward Sergio Aguero is not for sale this summer.
Manchester United are the latest club to be linked with the Argentine ace as they look to bring in a big name to help fill the void created by Cristiano Ronaldo’s impending move to Real Madrid.
Chelsea and Inter Milan have also been mooted as possible suitors for the 21-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best youngsters in world football.
Atletico are determined to keep hold of the Argentina international and president Enrique Cerezo is confident Aguero will remain at Vicente Calderon next season.
“I know that the big clubs of Europe are interested in our player, but I have spoken with the people next to Kun and I am convinced that next season he will continue in the squad,” said Cerezo.
An Atletico spokesman insists the club have not received any offers for the South American.
“We have not received formally any offers and the club’s board of directors have had a meeting and the decision is clear - Kun Aguero is not for sale and only if a club pay his release clause could an exit be possible,” said the spokesman.

by iqrashawan on Jun.17, 2009, under Football

The agent of Swedish International Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea have made contact, with regard to signing the Inter Milan striker.
27-year-old Ibrahimovic has been in fine form for the Nerazzurri this campaign, with the former Ajax player finding the net 21 times in Serie A for Jose Mourinho’s side.
However, despite being on the brink of helping Inter to yet another Scudetto, Ibrahimovic is understood to be keen on a move away from the San Siro. United and Mourinho’s former club Chelsea along with Barcelona and Real Madrid are all claimed to have made contact with the striker’s agent Mino Raiola, with Raiola also claiming that it is only these clubs, who could afford his client. Ibrahimovic is reportedly on around £160,000-a-week at the Italian Champions.
“Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid are in contact with me,” Raiola told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
“They are the only teams capable of taking someone like Zlatan.”
However, Raiola also stated that Ibrahimovic, who has scored 62 goals in 114 games for Inter and is under contract at the Nerazzuri until the summer of 2013, could also remain at the San Siro.
“Until proven otherwise, he will go ahead with Inter because he is under contract with the Nerazzurri club,” he added.
“If we do move, it will be to another great team. Otherwise he will stay and try to win the Scudetto and Champions League with Inter next season.”
Ibrahimovic has scored 20 goals in 56 caps for Sweden, with it likely to cost the Blues, Red Devils, Barca or Los Blancos in excess of £40million to end the striker’s four-year spell in Italy.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s Hit List, after the departure of the star C. Ronaldo Manchester United has got £100million to burn
by iqrashawan on Jun.12, 2009, under Football

Sir Alex Ferguson has got a £100million to spend on transfers after he personally gave the order for Cristiano Ronaldo to be sold to Real Madrid, the departure of Ronaldo will leave a big hole to fill in the United squad, which Sir Alex Ferguson will try to fill with the £80 million coming from by selling Ronaldo and £20 million will be handed over to him as transfer budget from the club.
Ever since the news of Ronaldo leaving the club has arrived the news papers are yelling just one thing out to Sir Alex Ferguson,
Spend, Spend, Spend
accordint to www.manutd.com (the clubs official web site),
United last night prepared to enter a bidding war with Chelsea for France international Franck Ribery which could go as high as £65m. Old Trafford boss Ferguson is also known to have Lyon’s £25m forward Karim Benzema on his hit list and he hopes to conclude the £16m signing of Wigan’s Antonio Valencia in the near future
the web site goes on to mention,
Wigan’s Ecuador winger Valencia has long been a Ferguson target and he will almost certainly join shortly while the United manager has not yet given up on persuading Carlos Tevez to stay on a long-term deal. As well as Benzema, Ferguson’s hit-list includes Barcelona holding player Yaya Toure. It is, however, the prospect of United going head to head with Chelsea for Bayern Munich’s Ribery that looks the most mouthwatering. Bayern have already indicated the 26-year-old is not for sale and it will take an offer of around £65m for the Frenchman to be prised away.
United have been linked with a host of top talents since Ronaldo’s potential departure was announced. The Guardian says Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o could arrive, while wingers David Silva (The Times) and Arjen Robben (Daily Star) are also being monitored.
according to www.footballtransferleague.co.uk,

- Paul Pogba (Le Havre)
- Klaas Jan Huntelaar (Real Madrid)
- Kyle Naughton (Sheffield Utd)

well £100million is a lot of money to burn, Sir Alex has got a huge responsibility on his shoulders to fill in Ronaldo’d boats. United fans will hope that he spend (which he usually does) spend this much of money in the right way to keep his squad tough for the next season.
