Tevez Moved to City: Hope To Win Big at Manchester City too
by iqrashawan on Jul.14, 2009, under Football

Carlos Tevez is confident he can continue to win trophies at new club Manchester City sooner rather than later.
The 25-year-old, who rejected the chance to remain with Manchester United, is set to finalise his move to Eastlands after agreeing a five-year deal.
City continue to spend big this summer, with Tevez following the arrivals of Gareth Barry and Roque Santa Cruz last month.
And Mark Hughes has again highlighted his determination to break into the top four by reportedly bidding £25million for Arsenal frontman Emmanuel Adebayor - and Tevez is excited to be part of such an ambitious project.
“The manager and the owners are very ambitious and that became clear to me the first time we spoke,” he told the Daily Mail.
“This is the chance to be involved from the start, an opportunity to help build a special experience.
“I hope to win many more trophies with City.
“There is a great feeling of excitement around the club. Look at the quality of the players who have been signed and the prospect of other top-quality players coming too. Things are happening at this club.
“The owners made it clear to me that they will be doing everything in their power to make this an extraordinary club to play for.
“I look forward to being a part of that experience.”
Tevez added: “Mark Hughes played in my position for some of the biggest clubs in the world and he understands the demands and pressure of playing as a striker.
“I look forward to learning from him.”
The diminutive Argentinean will bring with him a wealth a winning experience having secured numerous honours at neighbours United and the forward hopes that will have a positive effect on his new team-mates.
“This is a new adventure for me and I thank the people who have made this possible,” he stated.
“My record of success speaks for itself. From helping West Ham to avoid relegation to helping Manchester United to two Champions League finals in two seasons.
“That’s not a bad record.”
Tevez: Fans Will Forgive Me
by iqrashawan on Jul.05, 2009, under Football

Former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez is confident he will not be viewed as a traitor by the Old Trafford faithful if he completes a transfer to the club’s cross-city rivals.
The Argentina international turned down a permanent deal at United last month following a two-year loan deal and has since been linked with a lucrative move to wealthy Manchester City.
Chelsea are also reportedly tracking the 25-year-old’s availability, but Eastlands is believed to be Tevez’s likely destination this summer.
Tevez told The People: “If I play for Manchester City I don’t think the United fans will feel I am a traitor.
“They have to remember that at least as far as I know I have been thrown out of the club and I have to study the best offers available.”
Tevez’s decision to turn down the offer of a five-year deal at United has been defended by his adviser Kia Joorabchian, and the player himself insists manager Sir Alex Ferguson left him with little choice but to move on.
“It has come about because I could not stand my sporting situation at Manchester United any longer,” he continued.
“My first year was good in all senses. I played in the games and felt respected by the coach but in my second year some strange things happened that I still do not understand.
“After the game at Old Trafford where Liverpool beat us [4-1, in March], Ferguson ignored me almost as if I was to blame for the defeat when really Liverpool dominated us all over the pitch.
“After that the fans called for me to be in the team but he never took the advice on board because he always knows best.
“I gave everything for Manchester United and people know that. For that reason I don’t deserve the way things have ended up.”
City in Pole Position for Tevez
by iqrashawan on Jun.25, 2009, under Football

Carlos Tevez is considering offers from Manchester City, Chelsea and one other club, according to the player’s adviser Kia Joorabchian.
After Tevez decided not to renew his contract with Manchester United, Joorabchian commented the Argentinian’s future will be defined in “about 10 days” and hinted City were in pole position to sign the player.
Joorabchian told Radio del Plata: “Right now we are evaluating the proposals from Manchester City, Chelsea and one other team.
“In the next two weeks, Carlos, Adrian (Rouco, Tevez’s agent) and I will meet to sort this out.
“City is a club with most of the chances because they are building a big squad, but it is not a decisive point.
“The contract with United officially runs to until June 31 and we’ll respect that. After July 1, we’ll see. We may be defined in 10 days.”
Last weekend, Tevez turned down a lucrative five-year offer to stay at Old Trafford, with Joorabchian making clear it arrived too late.
“Carlitos has never asked United for money, he has never complained about his contract. It is not a problem regarding money, but we never talked about that in two years.
“In two years, (United manager Sir Alex) Fergurson always said we were going to sit down to negotiate but we never did so. He sent an offer, but it was too late because they had not offered anything in two years.”
Robinho wants Carlos Tevez as team mate, urged Manchester City to bring Tevez in the side
by iqrashawan on Jun.13, 2009, under Football

Robinho has urged Manchester City to launch a bid for Argentina star Carlos Tevez.
Tevez’s future is uncertain as he nears the end of a two-year loan agreement at Manchester United.
City have been linked with a bid for the bullish forward, although the Red Devils appear keen to strike fresh terms with Tevez’s representatives, with Cristiano Ronaldo set for Real Madrid.
Brazilian attacker Robinho is keen to play alongside Tevez at Eastlands and is hopeful the affluent club could land his services this summer.
Robinho said in The Sun: “We would definitely complement City’s attack. I hope my club make a move for him.
“It would be a pleasure to play with Carlos. He is one of the best players in the world and it is a shame he is not having more opportunities at his current club.
“If he leaves United - as I have been reading in the last few days - and if the interest of City gets confirmed, of course I will try to convince him to join us.
“I am sure we would make a fiercesome duo up front. He is so fast and combative with great technique.”
He added: “If Carlos comes to City, and if the club manages to get two or three players of the same quality we can aspire to big things.
“This season was not our best, but this was also our first year together and I don’t regret the option I made a year ago. In the coming season fans can definitely expect to see us in the top spots of the league.”
Sir Alex Ferguson’s Hit List, after the departure of the star C. Ronaldo Manchester United has got £100million to burn
by iqrashawan on Jun.12, 2009, under Football

Sir Alex Ferguson has got a £100million to spend on transfers after he personally gave the order for Cristiano Ronaldo to be sold to Real Madrid, the departure of Ronaldo will leave a big hole to fill in the United squad, which Sir Alex Ferguson will try to fill with the £80 million coming from by selling Ronaldo and £20 million will be handed over to him as transfer budget from the club.
Ever since the news of Ronaldo leaving the club has arrived the news papers are yelling just one thing out to Sir Alex Ferguson,
Spend, Spend, Spend
accordint to www.manutd.com (the clubs official web site),
United last night prepared to enter a bidding war with Chelsea for France international Franck Ribery which could go as high as £65m. Old Trafford boss Ferguson is also known to have Lyon’s £25m forward Karim Benzema on his hit list and he hopes to conclude the £16m signing of Wigan’s Antonio Valencia in the near future
the web site goes on to mention,
Wigan’s Ecuador winger Valencia has long been a Ferguson target and he will almost certainly join shortly while the United manager has not yet given up on persuading Carlos Tevez to stay on a long-term deal. As well as Benzema, Ferguson’s hit-list includes Barcelona holding player Yaya Toure. It is, however, the prospect of United going head to head with Chelsea for Bayern Munich’s Ribery that looks the most mouthwatering. Bayern have already indicated the 26-year-old is not for sale and it will take an offer of around £65m for the Frenchman to be prised away.
United have been linked with a host of top talents since Ronaldo’s potential departure was announced. The Guardian says Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o could arrive, while wingers David Silva (The Times) and Arjen Robben (Daily Star) are also being monitored.
according to www.footballtransferleague.co.uk,
ManU’s most probable out this summer is none other than Carlos Tevez according to the website Carlos Tevez can leave United for either of the following clubs
- Manchester City
- Liverpool
- Real Madrid
- Chelsea
- Tottenham
- Inter Milan
and the most probable INs are
- Luis Antonio Valencia (Wigan)
- Karim Benzema (Lyon)
- Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich)
- Nicolas Bertolo (Atletico Banfield)
- Jose Rodolfo Pires Ribeiro Dodo (Corinthians)
- Neymar da Silva (Santos)
- Alexis Sanchez (Udinese)
- Walter Henrique da Silva (Internacional)
- Douglas Costa (Gremio)
- Victor Mongil (Real Valladolid)
- Aaron Lennon (Tottenham)
- Paul Pogba (Le Havre)
- Klaas Jan Huntelaar (Real Madrid)
- Kyle Naughton (Sheffield Utd)
- Arjen Robben (Real Madrid)
- David Silva (Valencia)
- Samuel Eto’o (Barcelona)
well £100million is a lot of money to burn, Sir Alex has got a huge responsibility on his shoulders to fill in Ronaldo’d boats. United fans will hope that he spend (which he usually does) spend this much of money in the right way to keep his squad tough for the next season.
